I have the hard drive out of my old laptop in a USB enclosure, how to a gain control of all the files easiest?

Old hard drive ran from Windows XP, new laptop runs Vista. Everytime I want to open a file I haven’t yet opened, I have to gain admin control of it. Can I just gain control of the whole drive at once?

Use My Computer and click on the folders tab.
