before you do it on a large scale test it on a small tanks 10 gal, 5 gal, 2.5 gal or those small plastic tanks (these would be best).

The maker of this Video can not be held reasonable for injury or death of your animals or self for using these techniques. Please be advised they’re a lot of risk involved in doing this, Impaction is a possibility if the clay to sand ratio isn’t right the dirt can be lose enough that the animal can swallow it, if it inst strayed down enough said animal can dig under the top layer and eat the lose dirt underneath, there is also a high risk or contamination from getting objects outside.

This is my Red Eye set-up…it’s a 45gal tank with Pothos, Rubber Tree, and Snake plants planted right in the gravel…I used some flexible plastic lawn edging to make a wall for a water area. I used a sponge filter and put a few fish in there for color…I also used a powerhead with a hose attatched to a plastic tube bubble wand that makes a perfect rain bar…the powerhead is on a timer at variable intervals to simulate their natural rainy season…I also made a humidifier that continuosly flows fresh humid air into the tank. Right now there are 4 frogs in the enclosure.
