before you do it on a large scale test it on a small tanks 10 gal, 5 gal, 2.5 gal or those small plastic tanks (these would be best).

Please be advised they’re a lot of risk involved in doing this, Impaction is a possibility if the clay to sand ratio isn’t right the dirt can be lose enough that the animal can swallow it, if it inst strayed down enough said animal can dig under the top layer and eat the lose dirt underneath, there is also a high risk or contamination from getting objects outside.
