It can sound as good as you want it to sound…more layers of fiberglass and resin = more stiffness… use at least 4 or 5 layers of glass in addition to the fabric base

man, just buy some …
man, just buy some MDF wood and make your skeletal frame for it. then use fleece or something stretchy that will be able to stretch over your frame. then coat it twice with fiberglass resin and then lay fiberglass mat over it and lay another layer or two depending on how thick you want it. the thicker the better sound. but after that. sand it all down when its hardened then fill it in with bondo and sand smooth then youre ready for paint or fabric wrapping.

I started my own …
I started my own custom painting business and its going good. people bring in things to have me paint. i have always wanted to provide a cheap way for fiberglass boxes but have never found a good way. what you guys did has really helped out business around here. thanks for everything. oh and i have yet to try it but does the same rule apply for a dual subwooofer box or have you not tried either?

Bondo is the manufacturer name, but the product is actually called autobody filler… all it does is basically fill in imperfections and make the surface smooth.
