    nice. I wouldve just supported the rings and fiberglassed over the top, but I cant argue with your final result. paint looks very good (I have carpet) . I got a vid of the final product posted in my vidoes. Let me know what you think.

    The fleece …
    The fleece stretches more in one direction. Plan ahead. With this box I needed more stretchiness side to side. I had 1 big wrinkle at the bottom of each speaker. I folded the fleece over at the bottom and then fiber glassed over it. A lot of sanding and body filler.

    The platform under the amp is clear 3/8″ plexiglass that is sanded on the top with LEDs under.

    I don’t know anything about painting - I just picked -up the color and clear coat from the auto parts store. - I have ruined a project not knowing about laquer vs enamel, vs polyurethane.

    The paint was spray paint and clear coat to match the car - picked up from the local auto parts store.

    The LEDs were wired to the trunk light (the trunk light was removed). The LEDs come on when the trunk lid is opened.

    After applying the resin to the fleece I added a layer of fiberglass mat w/ resin, then the body filler - shaping and smoothing each layer.
