Two separate enclosures or one single with two subs?
I had a company screw up my order on some subs. I wanted a enclosure that had two kicker subs already in it, but instead, they sent me a enclosure with only one sub. For car audio, what would be most effective and sound the best, two subs in a vented box or the subs, separate, each in its on enclosure?
Ehhh… I would send it back, but thats me.
Back to your question, both ways would be ok. The only time i would see a need to use 2 separate boxes would be if you have a small trunk and still want to use 2 subs. but if you had 2 boxes, you could just screw a board on the back of them to hold them together. As long as both boxes are the same size and identical, you can save yourself from the "my first system" look or looking like "I just threw this together".
Good luck and happy listening
