Jeep Wrangler & CJ Sound System speaker pods enclosures
August 11, 2009 - 7:18 am
Incredible Sound System speaker pods enclosures for Jeep CJ & Wrangler. Subwoofers, midrange, everything audio. I do have some of the bass tuned down for this video in hopes that it will sound better over typical computer speakers. All of the pods you see and a couple others are at jeepsound.com

Well, if you use a …
Well, if you use a poly-composite coned speaker and not a paper or paper-treated one, you basically are using a marine speaker, which is what these are. Not that this Jeep ever sees rain!

are the speakers …
are the speakers marine?

It’s a lot of work …
It’s a lot of work to re-do another video to change the song. It took MANY hours to seetup and get the lighting good, etc. I just don’t have the tie right now to do it over.

its modified fairly …
its modified fairly heavily. Cammed AMC 360 with an MSD ignition, 4″ lift with 33″s, its had a full body off restoration.
I’ve been thinking of making a video of it soon so ill get it on here.

Excellent. Is your …
Excellent. Is your ‘76 all original, highly modified, what?
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
thats cool, after …
thats cool, after seeing your photo in the catalog, i bought the cetra-pod for my 76 cj-7. Im lovin the sound- however i bought it without the speakers and put some pioneers in it

It sure is! I …
It sure is! I don’t know why the 4WD hardware catalog got rid of that bird’s eye photo of this Jeep and all the speaker pods…they sell them all! It was a good photo, it should still be in the catalog.
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
is this the jeep …
is this the jeep actual featured in the 4wd catalog with a pic of all the speakers
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
I don’t really take …
I don’t really take the Jeep out of the garage very often and when I do, it’s in very low-crime places. If you’re worried about theft, try using some tamper-proof screws to mount them. Most thieves will have a flathead and a phillips screwdriver on them, but probably not a tri-span or a pin-in-head- torx or something like that.

i just got two …
i just got two really nice speakers in my tj and they’re very obvious, i’m afraid they’re gonna be stolen, do you have to do anything or worry about that with that sick sound system?
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
There’s space …
There’s space behind them and the soft top would just rest in the back over the subwoofer area(s) which is fine b/c bass goes through anything. They use the Jeep for promos, etc.
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
wow i thought there …
wow i thought there was like no way around for speakers but i may just have to hit you guys up on this are you the owner of the company?
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
Nope, they’re made …
Nope, they’re made so that the soft top bars will fold down in their factory position. Not even an issue.
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
sweet but those …
sweet but those ones in the rear i have a 99 tj with a soft top, when i fold the roof back wont it hit those subs in the rear? this system has really caught my interest ive always wanted to get a system for my jeep, but there is just no where or very little to mount everything.
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
Sure! I’m guessing …
Sure! I’m guessing you think the one on the windshield may get in the way? Not even close to a problem, plenty of clearance and really added to the frontal imaging, especialy with the top off.
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
can you still get …
can you still get your roof on? (soft top or hard top)
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
Sure, check out …
Sure, check out jeepsound and look on their dealer page to find where to buy’em. You’d have to get your own amps, they don’t come with any. As for how much they are, it depends on whether you’re getting them empty or with speakers included. Hope that helps!
August 11th, 2009 at 7:18 am
could you please …
could you please tell me if or where i could purchase the rear pods and the 2 pods beside the shifter if you can …and also how much would they run at price wise including the amps? .. thank you

No restorations …
No restorations here, it is an all original time capsule. Original paint, decals, etc. It hasn’t seen a drop of rain since I’ve owned it and I average about 300 miles a year. There are a total of 13 speakers, that includes the two in the dash.
