Calci sand is bad …
Calci sand is bad for everything. I have never had an issue with regular play sand and neither have any of the other breeders I know. The carpet is fine but you will need to wash it. I have switched over to ceramic tile because it is alot easier with the amount of dragons I have. Cleaning the sand was very time consuming.

Sorry about not …
Sorry about not replying sooner. The dragon is most likely bluffing. When they feel threaten that is what they do. One of the best things to do is let him get acclimated to it’s new enclosure. Another is do not sneak up on him, pick him where he can see you. It takes time. How old is your Dragon?
