    Anti-Virus software needs to be constantly updated because viruses keep getting round them a recent example of this would be the conficker worm. It could be on your pc right now and neither you nor your anti-virus would know.

    I really like E-SATA drives due to their speed. I have a couple, one for back ups and another I use for my Linux OS which I keep on a separate drive than my Windows OS.

    COMODO makes a good firewall when it comes to ANTI-VIRUS the most protective is Norton. Norton is not lightweight but it does it’s job pretty good.

However, I have a question: Do you prefer an internal hard drive w/SATA-USB converter case, over an external mini-HD that connects directly via USB, does not use a seperate power supply? Price difference is either negligible or nonexistant. Just select a good brand by checking out review. I use an external 2.5″ 250G Rhino. I like the fact I’m not using yet one more power supply. Think green!

    Or if ur doing a full scan that may slow it a bit but thats it…

    I wasnt attacked but i just cant decide on what antivirus to take and BTW antivirus will protect you…by warning you and then you can delete the trojan or spyware or what ever…
    Firewalls are also hard to choose…i use COMODO but he is very anoying…
