what are their importance ?

A USB 2 or FireWire Enclosure is a way to put a hard drive into a portable case so you can use it for backups, extra storage, etc.

I have my old hard drive in a FireWire enclosure and I put photos and stuff on it. I also have FireWire enclosure with a drive that works with my laptop. I use it for backups — so if my laptop drive fails, I just swap drives and keep going.

Um… unless I misunderstood the question. If you mean why would you want to add USB or FireWire *capability* to your computer… it’s so you can connect to all kinds of external devices — including hard drives but also cameras and stuff.

I have 2 12" Eclipse subs. 350 watt rms handling, 1000 watt max power, and a Kenwood KAC-9103D, 1800watt amp. What is the best sub enclosure for this system?

It is a case for using a SATA hard drive externally and connected via USB 2.0.

I also need the foam tube pole covers !

When using a computer which supports IDE hard drives but has no SATA input plugs, would it work if I bought an external enclosure that supports SATA and plugged it into the computer via the USB port?

Or will the computer not recognize the hard drive?

I’m not sure if there’s a difference in the way a SATA drive formats or if it’s just the transfer rate.

You can put your HD into an external case that’s made for SATA drives and use USB to connect to it and everything will work just fine. Your OS won’t care if the drive is SATA or IDE and you can format the drive any way you want. Fat32, NTFS etc.

Old hard drive ran from Windows XP, new laptop runs Vista. Everytime I want to open a file I haven’t yet opened, I have to gain admin control of it. Can I just gain control of the whole drive at once?

Used to bond electronic parts together, eg: ribbon wire with logicboard, lcd with enclosure, headphone jack with enclosure, and so on…. in cellphone.
I am trying to repair the cellphone, and scrapped off the adesive. I would like to find out where to purchase the same kind of adhesive to bond the parts, and the enclosure together.

I don’t think there are any special adhesives used for electronics. You use whatever adhesive works for the materials you are joining.

I have a Diamond Audio CM312D4 sub and its in a big MTX ported/venetd box. I cant find the specs on this sub and dont know what enclosure I should be using or what size the enclosure should be. I think mine is way too big. If anyone knows more about this or can find the specs to this sub it would be appreciated. Thanks.

cartronics has those subs and they recommend a big box, they have a box called the super bass box with linex on the outside and it will make your subs hit hard but its 200 $ for a dual. a small box will blow the sub but your box is fine. if you need the specs you can call cartronics to find out they know there stuff. here is the # if you want to call 615-865-4800 hope this helps

What brands of hard drive enclosures do you trust to put your laptop 2.5" hard drive in. I’ve seen people say on the internet that theirs only lasted 1 year and that was for different brands.
